Ingredients
For steaming sweetcorn
- 1 corn cob
- 2 cups water
Other Ingredients
- ¼ cup water
- ½ celery stalk
- 2 onions
- 1 ½ tbsp butter, salted
- 1 tbsp Salt
- 1 ½ cups water
- 2 tsp cornstarch
- ½ tsp black pepper powder
- ½ cup water
For Garnish
- coriander leaves / cilantro
Instructions
Preparation
- Assemble all ingredients together to avoid last minute rush.
- Wash and finely chop onion, fresh coriander leaves or cilantro, celery stalk.
Cooking
- Remove kernels from sweetcorn cob.
- Heat water in a Skillet / Kadai over medium heat. Add the corn and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until softened.
- Remove the corn from the pan and set aside.
- Bring the liquid to boil and add the rest of the ingredients except the corn.
- Let it simmer for 15 -20 minutes or till you get your desired consistency Return the corn to the broth mixture and continue simmering for another 10 minutes.
- Pour hot soup into bowls and serve with garlic bread.
