Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup milk powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 cup suji / rava / semolina rava / sooji
  • 1 tbsp ghee / clarified butter ghee, for roasting semolina
  • 1 tsp ghee / clarified butter for making milk powder mixture
  • 5 almond / badam
  • 5 cashew

Instructions
 

Preparations

  • Assemble all ingredients to avoid last minute rush.
  • Finely chop almonds and cashews. And keep them aside.

Cooking

  • Take a Kadai and heat ghee into it on low flame.
  • Now, add milk and milk powder into it and stir completely to avoid any lumps. Add milk powder into batches so that no lumps will be formed.

  • Now, add sugar into it and mix well.
  • Cook the mixture until it starts combining together. Do not overcook the mixture otherwise it will turn sticky and becomes rubber like texture.
  • Now, take another Frying Pan or Kadai and heat ghee into it on low flame.
  • Now, add semolina into it and sauté it on low flame.

  • After 5 minutes, semolina granules start getting separate and you can feel the aroma as well.
  • Do not over sauté the semolina. Don't make it brown.
  • Add the sautéed semolina into the prepared milk powder mixture and also add chopped almonds and cashews.

  • Let it cool down a little for 10 minutes before taking next step.
  • When the mixture cools down, start preparing Ladoos.
  • Your Milk Powder Rava Ladoos are ready to serve.

Notes & Tips

  • Sugar: You can adjust the sweetness as per your taste and preference.
  • Semolina: Do not over roast semolina / rava. Also do not roast on high flame otherwise semolina granules will get burn and turns brown.
  • Dry fruits: You can add dry fruits of your own choice and roast them a little before adding to make ladoos.
  • What else can add? You can add desiccated coconut to give them coconut flavor along with semolina.
