Notes & Tips

  • To make this dish spicier, you can add more red chili powder or use a hotter variety of chili powder.
  • To make this dish creamier, you can add more heavy cream or use full-fat coconut milk instead.
  • To make this dish even more keto-friendly, you can use ghee instead of butter.
  • To make this dish more flavorful, you can add some garam masala powder or other Indian spices.
  • To make this dish more filling, you can add some chopped vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms.
  • If you are not following a keto diet, you can serve this dish with basmati rice or naan bread.
  • Salt & Spices: Adjust salt and spices as per your taste preference.
  • Butter: I have used unsalted butter here. If you are using salted butter, reduce the quantity of salt.
  • Choosing Oil: I always use olive oil for keto recipes. In place of olive oil, consider oils compatible for keto recipes.
  • Instead of heavy cream: Take ¼ cup of coconut milk, if heavy cream is not available.
  • For vegetarians: Use Tofu which is a good substitute for chicken here. With Tofu, this recipe also tastes very good.
  • Chicken Masala: I have shared Homemade Chicken Masala in my other posts. Please refer to it for authentic butter chicken taste.
  • Dry Fenugreek Leaves/ Kasoori Methi: You can skip this ingredient if not available at your place. However, it gives a tasty twist to the recipe.
