Ingredients
- 1 chicken 3 pounds
- 1 tbsp oil
- 4 Carrot
- 4 stalks celery
- 1 inch ginger
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 Onions
- 1 to Tomato
- 2 cups water
- 1 tbsp salt
- ½ tbsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- coriander leaves / cilantro
Instructions
Preparation
- Wash and roughly cut chicken.
- Wash and roughly chop onion, garlic, ginger, carrots, celery stalks, tomato and fresh coriander leaves.
Cooking
- Take a Pressure Cooker and add chicken pieces with water and salt in it.
- Pressure cook chicken with 4-5 whistles on low flame or until chicken cooks properly.
- Now, strain water and remove bones from the chicken and add strained water again in the boneless chicken. Mesh chicken pieces a little in the water.
- In a Cook Pot or Kadai, heat oil on medium flame and add chopped ginger and garlic. Let the raw aroma og garlic goes away.
- Now, add chopped onions and saute them till they become translucent.
- Then, add chopped tomatoes and carrots and let them cook for a minute with covered lid. Do not overcook them, we need crunchiness of carrots in the soup.
- Now, add chopped celery stalks and cooked boneless chicken with water in the Cookpot.
- Adjust the consistency as per your desire and let them boil on a high flame, stir often.
- Now, reduce the heat on low flame and simmer the soup for 5-7 minutes so that all ingredients tangle with each other well.
- Now, add black pepper and chopped coriander leaves on top and serve hot.
