Ingredients for Batter

  • ½ cup Besan / Gram flour besan
  • Salt
  • 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • pinch turmeric powder
  • pinch Asafoetida / hing
  • ¼ tsp aamchur / dry mango powder
  • ¼ tsp garam masala
  • ½ tsp ginger garlic paste
  • ¼ tsp coriander powder
  • water

Other Ingredients

  • 1 Eggplant / brinjal / baingan
  • 3 tbsp oil

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Assemble all ingredients together to avoid last minute rush.
  • Cut brinjal in ½ inch round pieces, then slice into half.

  • Add all ingredients listed in batter and make medium thick consistency of batter.
  • Dip each brinjal piece in the batter gently and make sure it is nicely covered with batter.

  • Now, heat 3 tbsp oil over medium flame in a big Pan or Tawa.
