Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Ada
  • 3 cups Milk 3 cups
  • 1 cup Coconut milk 1 cup
  • 1 cup jaggery / gur 1 cup
  • cardamom powder 1 tsp
  • 1 tsp cinnamon 1 tsp
  • 1 tsp nutmeg 1 tsp
  • 1/4 cup cashew 1/4 cup
  • 1/4 cup Raisins 1/4 cup
  • 1/4 cup coconut 1/4 cup
  • 1 tbsp ghee / clarified butter 1 tbsp

Instructions
 

Pre-Cooking Prep Steps

  • Soak the ada in water for 2 hours. Drain and keep it aside.
  • Heat ghee in a pan and roast the cashews and raisins until they turn golden brown. Keep it aside
  • Heat a pan and dry roast the coconut bits until they turn golden brown. Keep it aside.

Cooking Steps

  • In a heavy-bottomed pan, add milk, coconut milk and bring it to a boil.
  • Add the ada and cook for 15-20 minutes or until the ada is fully cooked.
  • Add the jaggery, cardamom powder, cinnamon powder, nutmeg powder and stir well until the jaggery is fully dissolved.
  • Cook for an additional 10 minutes or until the mixture thickens.
  • Add the roasted cashews, raisins, and coconut bits and mix well.
  • Serve hot or chilled as desired.
